THE GIRL
She was tired. She was tired of the lies and the disrespect. She was tired of the way people thought they could walk all over her.
A PRAYER TO GOD
One night, she whispered a prayer. She couldn’t take it anymore:
“God, give me a way to stop them—those who hurt me on purpose. They think kindness is weakness. Just one chance to show them.”
GOD’S RESPONSE
God heard her. “If someone crosses you twice, you’ll have the power to make them feel what they’ve done. A touch, a look—it’s all it will take. But use it wisely.”
THE SUBWAY ENCOUNTER
The next time it happened, she was on the subway. A man stared at her—staring so intensely that it made her skin crawl. When the train jolted, he nudged closer, invading her space. Her heart raced and her fists clenched as she resolved not to let it continue.
THE POWERFUL TOUCH
Without a word, she reached out, touched his arm, and locked eyes with him. In that moment, his body froze as an unbearable wave of discomfort—sharp like needles—washed over him.
THE WARNING
Calmly, she leaned in and whispered, “This is your warning. Don’t make me use this again.” Frantic, he nodded and retreated to a distant seat, his face pale and shaken.
NEWFOUND POWER
She adjusted her bag, sat back down, and exhaled. For once, she felt safe. For once, she felt powerful. From that day on, she carried her silent justice with her. She was ready for anyone who dared cross the line again.
