The One Skill That Saves Lives (And It’s Not What You Think)

Giving people space to talk. Really talk. Without fear of judgment or interruption.
I’d sit with someone who feels like their thoughts are a prison they can’t escape.
I’m not a therapist. But I know what it’s like to be stuck in that dark place.
What I’d do:
Listen. Really listen.
Then, if they want it, share what helped me – small, actionable steps. Not perfect advice. Just what worked.
Why it matters:
Because sometimes all someone needs is to be heard. To feel less alone. To know someone gets it.
That would satisfy my soul. Watching them improve, even a little, would nourish me even more.
